Information Regarding the Personal Data Protection Law
Our aim is to provide clarification regarding the personal data processing activities conducted by CoWorldHub in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law, as well as the principles adopted for the protection of personal data. In this context, we seek to ensure transparency by informing individuals whose personal data is processed by our company, including student candidates, agencies, schools, universities, educational institutions, insurance and airline companies, institutions and employees we collaborate with, clients, and third-party beneficiaries.
According to the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, individuals whose personal data are processed by us may request information from CoWorldHub regarding the data processed about them. They can learn about the purpose of data collection, how it is used, and the third parties to whom their personal data are transferred, both domestically and internationally. They can also request the correction or updating of information that has been processed incompletely or incorrectly and may request the deletion of such data, including notifications to third parties to whom the data has been transferred, if the reasons for processing no longer exist.
CoWorldHub conducts its processing activities regarding personal data and sensitive personal data in accordance with the data processing conditions set forth in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data.
The Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 grants data subjects the right to request information about their personal data, access to this data, learn whether it is being used for the intended purposes, and request the correction or deletion of such data. According to the first paragraph of Article 13 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698, the data controller CoWorldHub is required to receive applications regarding these rights through written methods specified.
– Applications to CoWorldHub made "in writing" by the applicant in person.
– The applications can be submitted to us by sending the signed application letter to the address: Müürivahe 52-Vanalinn, Tallinn, Estonia.
Our company may request additional information from the relevant data subject and may ask the data subject questions regarding their application in order to clarify the matters stated in the application.
Third Parties to Whom Personal Data Is Transferred and the Purposes of Transfer
The procedures and principles applicable to the transfer of personal data are regulated under Articles 8 and 9 of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data. For the fulfillment of the services provided by CoWorldHub, personal data is processed in accordance with the provisions of the law. It may be shared with third parties and companies providing services such as airline tickets, education, and travel health insurance, with schools to which applications are made in line with students’ requests, with online school application platforms, visa application platforms of respective countries and their business partners, our own business partners, and other third parties. Except for the exceptions specified in the Personal Data Protection Law (KVK), the transfer of personal data without the explicit consent of the data owner is not permissible. Details regarding the transfer of personal data to third parties are specified in the "Data Transfer and Sharing Procedure."
Transfer of Personal Data within the Country
In accordance with Article 8 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, the transfer of personal data within the country is permitted, provided that one of the conditions specified in section 6.1, titled “Conditions for Processing Personal Data,” of this Policy is met. Details regarding the domestic transfer of personal data are specified in the “Data Transfer and Sharing Procedure.”
Transfer of Personal Data Abroad
In accordance with Article 9 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, for the transfer of personal data abroad, in addition to meeting the conditions for domestic transfers, the presence of one of the following requirements is sought:
– The country to which the transfer will be made is listed among the countries with adequate protection as announced by the Personal Data Protection Board (KVK Board).
– In cases where adequate protection is not available in the destination country, data controllers in both Turkey and the relevant foreign country must undertake in writing to provide adequate protection. Additionally, authorization from the Personal Data Protection Board (KVK) is required. Details regarding the transfer of personal data abroad are provided in the “Data Transfer and Sharing Procedure.”
Personal Data and Our Website
The online activities of visitors to the CoWorldHub website are recorded (through technical means such as cookies) to enable personalized content display and online advertising activities. Detailed explanations regarding these activities are provided in the Privacy Policy texts on our website.
Personal Data and Our Offices
A personal data processing activity is conducted to monitor the entry and exit of all visitors to our company offices. The security cameras installed in our offices capture image data of visitors, along with their name and surname information, which is also processed for entry and exit tracking purposes. The relevant personal data is recorded in the registration system in both physical and electronic formats.
